This set of five sheets demonstrating the printing process of A Junk by Hiroshi Yoshida are similar to the prints in the artist’s Book, Japanese Wood-Block Printing (Tokyo: The Sanseido Company Ltd., 1939). They were sold separately in an envelope with the address and phone number of the Yoshida print shop, which also indicated that Hiroshi’s son, Toshi, was now running the family business. Unlike the set in the print process book, these prints do not have plate titles nor numbers over the colored bars at the left and bottom which indicate the order in which colors were added to the print.
